I appreciate the beauty of nature and try to capture the splendor in every brushstroke. I am self taught and had the honor to have learned from many Southwestern Artists. The subtle beauty of the landscape entices me to capture it in every painting.
Raised in the mid-west in a farming community at a young age I started sketching and soon picked up a brush and noticed the shadows and light that can be created with the paint colors.

My favorite subject matter is the Rim Country of Northern Arizona. The Mogollian Rim divides the high country from the deserts. Forever views, deep canyons and forests that go on forever.

The countryside of Provence, Tuscany and Austria offer such splendid color and rustic charm that I must capture this beauty in  paintings.

Sometime in your life you must experience this area from the North and South Rims of the Grand Canyon to the mountains up to the very edge of the Rim. Sunrise to sunset the colors and shadows are constantly changing and you just want to sit and stare of this natural wonder.
